“Happy New Year, comrades” is a play about growing up, choice, the vicious circle of stability, and what we carry over through the decades.

About the team

Ukrainian youth independent theatre “As heal” is created in Bucharest in
October 2022 by Oleksii Druz and Nikol Druz. The idea was to find young Ukrainian refugees who are also interested in theater and to make a theater group with them, staging and showing performances for Ukrainian people here in Romania.

During this time we’ve participated in theater festival “Gen Teatru” in Focsani and have won such prizes as “The first place”, “The best actress” and “The best director”.

Besides, we’ve shown our performances in such cities as Botosani, Timisoara, Oradea, Tulcea. We also dream about the shows in Constanta and Brasov because there are many Ukrainians living there. But most of our shows are done in Bucharest. We try to provide translation subtitles during our shows to attract also international audience.
