Living Statues, 3rd Edition (2013)

The third edition, 2013

This year’s edition of the International Living Statues Festival will run under the motto “With a Walking Stick around Bucharest”, which is the title of a book by poet Tudor Arghezi.
“We want to show the people of Bucharest, and not only to them, at least some of the unseen beauty of a capital city crossed by the strange lines that link the East and the West. You will experience the atmosphere of several periods of our city’s history, from the mid-19th century to current times, you will be fascinated to discover the destinies of famous cultural figures – all through performance art, through the innovative “living statues” of Masca Theatre,” says Mihai Malaimare, manager of Masca Theatre.
The third edition of the festival welcomed performers from the UK, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia and Bulgaria – many of them winners of prestigious awards – whose message was, clearly, in agreement with the proposal of Masca Theatre.
